CHAPTER 2 [verses 17-30]
I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving, and was able to enjoy this special day of Thanks with your family, and your friends. I sure did, and was able to enjoy time with my family. I didn't cook this year, I was blessed to share in the blessing of others, I did however bring the sweet potato pie, and it was delicious.
Now that we had a Thanksgiving break, let us jump into the next session of Romans Chapter 2

No Favoritism in Gods house
Last week we discussed the fact that there's no favoritism in God's house, and how God holds EVERYONE to the same principle, and expects everyone to live right.
Let us pray Sword Prayer
What about the Jews? After all, they- the Jews were handed to oracles of God, they the Jews were part of Gods plan, do they, not get a special piece of the pie? Are they not called his special friends?
Though Jews had the law passed down to them, and the oracles of God were given to them, though they know right from wrong, and can distinguish moral and behavioral principles, of the law...
This reminds of the scripture
"If I have the gift of prophecy, and can fathom all mysteries, and all knowledge, If I have faith that can move mountains, but have no love, I AM NOTHING!"[1st Cor 13:2]
Isn't that deep? If I claim to work miracles, and speak mysteries, but not display the fruits of Love, it really doesn't matter who I am, and what I am doing. LOVE is the moral principle of Gods LAW, I must exercise the fruits of the Spirit, or I will find myself like the Jews, having a form of godliness, but denying the power there of, obeying the law, but at the same time breaking it.
" Yes, you teach others- then why don't you teach yourselves? You tell others not to steal- do you steal? You say it is wrong to commit adultery-do you do it? You say don't pray to idols, and then you make money your god instead." [Romans 2:21-22]
Stop being a hypocrite!
God is looking for those with clean hearts, and changed minds. It does not matter if you are a Jew by birth,{full of knowledge, and wisdom} or a Gentile{ without the law}, what does your heart and mind represent?
IS YOUR HEART RIGHT WITH GOD?
If not, there is still time to repent, God is in the business of restoring lives, and renewing hearts. Come to him, and allow him to perform a surgery on you.
